When do I receive acknowledgment of my Application?

Applications are dealt with in the order they are received. Response time will be depending upon the number of applications received at the time yours was submitted. Upon payment, you will receive an electronic receipt. Ensure that you can received emails from systems@cdecb.ca and cdecb@cdecb.ca by adding these emails to your contact list. This will tell you that your application is now in queue.

I have a disability and I need special consideration, when should I advise the CDECB?

Advise us when you apply to write the examination. We will need time to make the appropriate arrangements for you to write the examination. We may not be able to assist you if you advise us after your application submission.

How do I know you received my application?

When you have paid for your application, a receipt automatically be sent to you from the Email ID of systems@cdecb.ca. Add this email address to your contacts to ensure that you get all emails sent to you from us.

I decided I cannot take the examination this year, when should I tell the CDECB?

Advise the CDECB as soon as possible. You will receive confirmation of your advice in accordance with the regulations as outlined in the Examination Handbook Sections 10, 11 and 12. Send your notice by email to cdecb@cdecb.

My College no longer sends out “wallet cards” and all I can do is print off my current information from their website. If I print that and send that to you is that acceptable as proof of professional registration?

Yes, a copy of your information from the college website is satisfactory to us. Please remember, you must print it off the website, scan it and upload it during the application process.

Can you recommend a course for me to take?

We do not recommend any courses for you to take. We suggest that you rely on your 800 hours of experience and prepare yourself. Form a study group, review various reading materials. See the Examination Handbook for more ideas.

I need to take the exam on another date. Can you arrange this?

The Examination is offered on three dates. The Candidate will choose one of the Thursday, Friday or Saturday dates following the Victoria Day holiday in May. Select the date you wish to take the examination when you make your application considering your own personal needs such as religious convictions, availability of internet connections, IT support, and family commitments.
