What is a Room Scan and how do I do it?

Your room scan will be completed by you once under the guidance of your live proctor. You will have audio and visual communication with your live proctor. The proctor will start your examination when they are satisfied with the room scan.

What type of Identification do I need to present when I start to write the examination?

You will need government photo identification (usually your driver’s licence works well). You will hold it up to the camera for the proctor to review. This is completed prior to starting the examination.

Can multiple people write the examination in the same room?

What happens if my internet connection goes out?

It is your responsibility to provide a stable internet connection. If your internet is not stable at your home then find an alternate location and an alternate internet connection that is stable. Can I have a snack and a drink while I write the examination?

Yes, you can. Pack your snack in a clear plastic bag, if a bag is necessary. Have your beverage in a clear vessel. If you choose to not follow these instructions, you risk being disqualified from the examination.

Can I read the questions aloud; can I talk to myself during the exam?

What do I do if I cannot meet these standards for computer equipment?

Ask your employer if they are able to assist you. Talk to the local library and find out if they can lend you a computer. You must have this equipment in order to take the examination. Some libraries have areas designed for examination administration.
